Obtain your clearance from Alice Tower on 118.3 and depart Alice Springs as per ATC instructions.
Following VFR Route 10 outbound from Alice keeps you well clear of the restricted area of Pine Gap, so it is particularly important to stay on track.
After take-off, track 304 degrees. You will cross the MacDonnell Ranges west of the town of Alice Springs, en route to your first check point of Simpsons Gap. Pine Gap will be visible out to the south-west as you follow this track.

Keep a good lookout for other traffic at Simpsons Gap, a well-used scenic flight destination, particularly for local heli operators.
S 23 32.5 E 133 33.0
Continue tracking 304 degrees outbound from Simpsons Gap.
Route 10 ends at the VFR approach point of Abeam Kunoth. There’s nothing much here to identify the spot, so look out for the big sealed east-west Tanami Road, to the north, converging towards your track as you cross the 22 DME step.
There is a tiny dam, Greentree Dam (marked on your VTC), about a mile before the road, on your track, just beyond the Abeam Kunoth VFR approach point.
Once clear of controlled airspace, monitor Melbourne Centre on 119.8.
No taxi clearance required. Monitor Ground on 118.3MHz.
