If you are arriving from the southwest, track initially towards Camden but do not plan to overfly the aerodrome as there is usually a considerable amount of traffic at and around Camden.
Gliders operate to the south and west of Camden and ultralights operate at The Oaks ALA, 7nm to the west. The Oaks has an elevation of 880ft, so you need to maintain 3000ft (subject to weather) if overflying this ALA, due to potential ultralight traffic below.

You can use the Camden NDB to assist your visual navigation. Monitor Sydney Centre on 124.55 or 125.8. If you are equipped with two radios, also monitor Camden Tower 120.1.
It is recommended that you track well clear of the Camden control zone. If you track to the north keep a good lookout for randomly manoeuvring aircraft in the Bankstown/Camden training area. To the south, keep a good lookout for gliders.
If you intend to overfly Camden below 2500ft, you should contact Camden Tower on 120.1.
Once past Camden, start your descent to reach 2500ft or below prior to the CTA step at 20DME Sydney.
En route to 2RN, remember that it is essential to keep a good lookout as this Sydney basin training area often has high-density traffic. It is a good idea to turn on your landing lights in this area. Listen to the Bankstown ATIS on 120.9.
Continue your descent to be at 1500ft by 2RN, the VFR approach point. You can use your ADF tuned to 2RN (576) to assist your visual navigation to 2RN.
2RN may be difficult to see, particularly in marginal weather and haze. It may be easier to see the M7/M5 interchange, immediately south of the 2RN radio mast.
