Arriving from the north-east, you may wish to use Victor 66, an established VFR route through Perth’s class C airspace as marked on the VTC. Note that ATC approval is required to enter Victor 66. Ensure you contact Perth Delivery on 132.95 for clearance in plenty of time before reaching the airspace boundary.
Victor 66 starts at The Lakes Mine. Acacia Prison, to the north of the mine, may also assist with visual navigation in this area.

Track south-west via Helena River Reservoir, staying well clear of the control zone boundary, and on to Canning Dam.
S 32 09.3 E 116 07.5
Canning Dam is an excellent ground feature to aid your navigation. From the dam, continue tracking towards the VFR approach point of Six South, south of Forrestdale Lake.
Freq: 135.25, 118.1
To keep clear of traffic outbound via Armadale, it is a good idea to stay just to the south of the built-up area of Armadale as you track inbound towards Six South.
When you cross the Darling escarpment, descend to 1500ft, the inbound altitude for arrivals to Jandakot.
Keep a good lookout here, as Six South is a busy area with all aircraft tracking to Forrestdale Lake. Note that Six South is an arc of airspace, rather than a pinpoint position. See its location on the VTC, just a short distance to the south of Forrestdale Lake. The lake generally dries out during summer.
After listening to the Jandakot ATIS on 120.9 or NDB 281, contact Jandakot Tower 118.1 at Six South with your inbound call.
Note: Once you have established two-way communication with the tower, this is your implied clearance into the class D control zone.
If radio congestion precludes this call at Six South from being made, you do not have an airways clearance and must not enter the control zone.
When able contact the tower again once you are re-established at the inbound approach point of Six South.
Pilot: ‘Jandakot Tower, (callsign), (type), Six South 1500ft, received (ATIS), inbound’
ATC: ‘ (callsign), Jandakot Tower, [instruction]’
If given instructions from Jandakot Tower - Pilot: “(Read back instructions), (callsign)”
You are required to report again at Forrestdale Lake
The 2000ft lower limit step of the Perth CTA overlies this area and must be strictly observed as ATC may be vectoring heavy jets around for a Perth Runway 03 instrument approach.
