A common and simple departure outbound to the north is via the coast. Follow your clearance directions from ATC until clear of controlled airspace and keep a good lookout at all times in this busy area.
Local training traffic usually flies inbound at 1500ft and outbound at 1000ft. This is not a requirement stipulated in ERSA but remains a valid safety practice routinely used in the area.

Should RWY 18 be in use, ATC will need to keep you clear of aircraft on final approach for RWY 18, so expect a clearance northbound via an inland route, rather than coastal.
Remember that Lake Weyba (at top of photo) is an excellent geographical feature to help you identify when you are leaving the Sunshine Coast CTR. If you are west of the coast and wish to continue your flight outside controlled airspace, you can commence climbing above 1500ft once you have crossed the southern shore of Lake Weyba.
Once clear of controlled airspace, monitor Brisbane Centre on 124.6.
No taxi clearance required. Monitor Ground on 121.1MHz.
