If departing upwind from RWY 29, climb to 1000ft and maintain runway heading until clear of the Bankstown control zone (CTR). If departing downwind from RWY 11, climb to 1500ft and maintain the downwind heading until clear of the Bankstown CTR.

You will be clear of the Bankstown CTR when you have passed the Liverpool to Parramatta railway line. The western edge of Warwick Farm Racecourse is another prominent feature to help you identify the boundary.
Commence your climb to not above 2500ft and track to the west. Keep well clear of inbound traffic and avoid the VFR approach points at 2RN and Prospect Reservoir.
You can use the M7 motorway as a tracking feature as you turn to the south. Keep a good lookout as you transit the Bankstown/Camden training area and maintain a listening watch on Sydney Centre, 124.55.
Your maximum altitude will be 2500ft until you reach the Sydney CTA step at 20 DME Sydney. West of this step, you can climb to 4500ft, but keep a good lookout for randomly manoeuvring aircraft in the training area. Turn on your landing lights and strobes so others can see you.

Camden CTR lies to the southwest of Bankstown, so if you are below 2500ft, avoid the Camden VFR approach points of Bringelly, Menangle, Mayfield and Picton as aircraft inbound to Camden may be tracking via these points. See ERSA for more details.

Camden’s class D airspace extends up to 2000ft and out to 2nm. If you are transiting near this airspace and have two radios, monitor Camden Tower 120.1 for additional traffic information in the area.
Holsworthy restricted area R555 lies to the south-east of 2RN. You should plan to track over the built-up area west of Campbelltown to avoid the restricted area as you track towards Appin.

Fly around Appin to the west to help with noise abatement, not above 4500ft to stay clear of controlled airspace. Continue tracking to the south.
If you are tracking towards Mittagong and Bowral you should avoid the Wilton danger area D593. Listen out for broadcasts from skydive aircraft on Sydney Centre 124.55 or 125.8.
Should you be heading to the coast, fly around Appin to the west. Then turn east towards Stanwell Park on the coast. To remain in class G airspace, descend to be at or below 2500ft by Stanwell Park.
